On Sunday 22 June, the Ukrainian Liberty Orchestra will perform in the Park. This orchestra consists of professional musicians who fled the war in their country and are staying in the Netherlands.
The orchestra appeals to a broad audience by playing evergreens from various operas (Nessun dorma, o mio babimo caro), interspersed with well-known orchestral works. In this way, they offer a festive, accessible concert for a large audience. The Ukrainian Liberty Orchestra consists of about 20 highly educated professional Ukrainian musicians and four soloists who have more than earned their spurs on international stages. The musicians have all fled war and violence and want to pass on the healing power of music through their concerts and of course practice their profession.
The concert on the Event Area in the center of the Park starts at 3:00 PM and consists of two sessions of about 45 minutes, separated by a short break.
