De Hoge Veluwe National Park stands for well-considered management of its sites and the associated flora and fauna. One of the terrain types in the Park is the heathland. These are man-made nature areas that require control measures such as grazing, burning, teasing and mowing. At a place where the last management method is applied, the Park offers a unique opportunity this summer. Because why not, before a heather plot is mowed in the fall, let visitors cut a bunch of flowering heathland to take home?

To participate in the heath cutting, we ask you to pick up a heath coupon in advance, in the center area of the Park. After collecting your coupon, go to the indicated location to cut your own bunch of heather. The nature guides provide information about heath management.

The location can be reached on foot (1.5 km from the paved road or 2,7 km from the Museonder) or by bicycle (4 km from the Museonder).
